Rent a bike for the
day!
Of
course at Brackenwood you can bring your own cycles which can be safely stored and locked away in the garage when not in use....
or at the end of the lane in Burley Village you can hire cycles for all the family.
There are lots of cycle trails
throughout the Forest that the whole family can enjoy. Some are suggested in our welcome guide file.
Enjoy a sense of freedom & have
space to think and breathe whilst walking in the Forest
Brackenwood is ideally situated for Visitors wanting to enjoy the
many walks through the Forest, which starts literally just over the property's cattle grid!
In the welcome book you will
also see many of the suggested walking trails throughout different parts of the forest as well as information on guided
walks.

Looking for more of a gentle stroll?
There are some fabulous gardens within the New
Forest and surrounding area to visit, where you can take a leisurely stroll and enjoy taking in some plants too!
Gardeners - be prepared for lots of inspiring thoughts!
Dogs love the New Forest too!
If you are being accompanied by your dog on holiday
we have useful information for you too, enabling you to make your pet's holiday one to remember. At the end of your
walks together you can also tackle any muddy paws collected on the way with our popular dog showering facility.... then you
can spend the evening relaxing together - still enjoying each other's company!
Enjoy good local food...
Sample the delicious top quality produce that the New Forest area has to provide. Local
specialities are identified by the New Forest Marque not only when dining out but also when shopping to cook at home.
New
Forest producers do not qualify for the Marque unless their foods meet the stringent quality standards in place.
An example of this is shown with Meat producers who must show that a very high standard of animal welfare as well as
good animal husbandry has been applied at all times.
Select fresh local food in season to
enjoy it at its best and know that you are actually helping the forest to stay special as you are also supporting local farmers
and small businesses.
