Children of all ages are very welcome at Brackenwood

Many owners of holiday properties do not allow small children.  Forest Charm does so on the assumption they will be well behaved and are under adult supervision while on or in the property.

You have the right to a peaceful undisturbed time on holiday but please remember that our neighbours have rights too!  Most accommodation owners would not want screaming and uncontrollable children to become a source of complaint from neighbours and we certainly don't!  It is one of the reasons why we only offer Brackenwood to considerate and responsible parents who will not leave their children unsupervised.  Significant damage can occur as a result of such lack of thoughtfulness and will certainly increase your holiday expense considerably!

We offer additional young child or infant baby items if requested at the time of booking.

For a young child we can offer you a fold up single bed, with normal single bed linens being supplied together with hypo-allergenic duvet and pillows.

For a younger infant child we have a good quality standard wooden cot including a safety mattress if requested.  However please note we never supply cot and baby linens - you would need to bring these your self. For infants we can also supply you with a wooden high chair.

There is a small supplement of £30 per week or short break for either a young child or infant if your party already comprises of 4 others.

Stairgates are automatically available for all holiday lets with young children or dogs

The few guidelines we ask you to follow will ensure that not only will our children and four paw-ed friends really enjoy their stay but others who follow may also enjoy theirs.

"Loved the horse riding and bike riding and boys loved the fishing at Avon Tyrrell."

Family pet dogs if well behaved and fully house trained are also extremely welcome at Brackenwood by arrangement.

Ideally situated with forest walks right from the garden gate, Brackenwood offers dogs a great holiday - and their owners will appreciate the 'Pooch Shower', a dog showering facility located in the exterior utility room.

Introduced especially for our 4 legged friends who enjoy nothing better than the exploration of lots of sniffs and usually most desirable of all mud and water!  Let your dog enjoy his New Forest experience too safe in the knowledge that an easy clean up is available afterwards!  Now you can enjoy your evening together too!

In our opinion there cannot be any better place than the New Forest for owners to enjoy the company of their break together with their pet and at Brackenwood we accept dogsfor a small supplement of £20 per week or short break per dog.

We would however ask the minority of dog owners not to spoil it for the majority and would like to take this opportunity to remind you that other Visitors who may be following after your visit may not have dogs or they may have young children.

Of course all our dog guests must be well behaved and fully house trained and they must never be left unattended or 'home alone'.  Most accommodation owners would not want barking dogs to become the source of a complaint from neighbours and we certainly don't!  It is one of the reasons why we only offer the property to responsible dog owners who will not leave their pets 'home alone' in a strange house, leading to the possibility of a stresssed animal determined to find a way out.  Significant damage can occur as a result of such lack of thoughtfulness and will certainly increase your holiday expense considerably!

Under NO circumstances do we allow dogs on furniture or in the bedrooms.  Not because we don't like dogs because we have one ourselves, but because many Visitors that follow will not apreciate the inevitable aftermath or additional wear and tear associated with dogs on furniture.

In the interests of hygiene we do expect you to clear up your dog mess from around the forest - it's not fair to expect anyone else to have to do this for you.  All dog pooh during your holiday needs to be picked up properly and disposed of in a suitable receptacle before being disposed of in the proper way.

The few guidelines we ask you to follow will ensure that not only will our four paw-ed friends really enjoy their stay but others who follow may also enjoy theirs.
