The New Forest village of Burley is really accessible in an area of exceptional beauty in the South of England situated between Southampton and Bournemouth.  With good road and rail links, Heathrow is only 1 1/2 hours drive away and both Southampton and Bournemouth Airports just over half an hour away.  Ferries operate to the Channel Islands and France from Poole and another ferry runs from close by Lymington to the Isle of Wight.
 
 

Brackenwood is ideally situated in the heart of this wonderful Forest just 100 yards away from the Burley Village shops, two pubs (each serving excellent meals) and quaint tearooms.  Additionally forest walks can be enjoyed from right outside the gate.

Enter the property over the cattle grid or through the walk through gate in to a gravel driveway with a lawned garden to the front of the house, which is surrounded by mature shrubs.

The good sized fitted oak kitchen has a Rayburn Aga gas fired range cooker with an additional 4 ring gas hob.  Warm and welcoming there are lots of hints and tips for the Aga inexperienced as well as a selection of cookery books and a comprehensive household manual.
 
With a wide selection of quality pans, crockery and utensils the kitchen also has a combination microwave, dishwasher, freezer, coffe maker and Kenwood mixer.

Upstairs off the spacious landing area is a generous sized bathroom and two bedrooms.
 
The bathroom has a wash hand basin, wc, bath with shower attachment and a seperate corner power shower as well as a shaver point.  100% Egyptian hand and bath towels are provided and included within the tariff.

You will also find that we have additionally already put in a starter stock of the basic non-food household necessities, even down to an amount of charcoal for your first barbecue!

The dining area is pleasant and spacious with a sideboard and a dining table that comfortably seats 6 people. 
 
Of course a good selection of quality china, cutlery and glassware is provided.

Brackenwood has Gas fired central heating, which is included in the rental price together with all other gas, electricity, hot water, bed linens and towels.
 
There is a telephone for incoming and emergency calls and for those that can't leave that lap top at home there is a Wi-Fi and incoming fax facility which incorporates a copier.
 
Comprehensive guidelines on all appliances are provided in the household manual and additionally Visitors appreciate the Welcome book that provides useful additional information to assist you in the enjoyment of your days out and about in the New Forest too.
