The New Forest village of Burley is really accessible in an area of exceptional beauty in the South of England situated between Southampton and Bournemouth. With good road and rail links, Heathrow is only 1 1/2 hours drive away and both Southampton and Bournemouth Airports just over half an hour away. Ferries operate to the Channel Islands and France from Poole and another ferry runs from close by Lymington to the Isle of Wight.

Brackenwood is ideally situated in the heart of this wonderful Forest just 100 yards away from the Burley Village shops, two pubs (each serving excellent meals) and quaint tearooms. Additionally forest walks can be enjoyed from right outside the gate.

Enter the property over the cattle grid or through the walk through gate in to a gravel driveway with a lawned garden to the front of the house, which is surrounded by mature shrubs.

Sit quietly and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Forest or simply enter the Forest from right outside the gate!

Well equipped Kitchen

The good sized fitted oak kitchen has a Rayburn Aga gas fired range cooker with an additional 4 ring gas hob. Warm and welcoming there are lots of hints and tips for the Aga inexperienced as well as a selection of cookery books and a comprehensive household manual.

With a wide selection of quality pans, crockery and utensils the kitchen also has a combination microwave, dishwasher, freezer, coffe maker and Kenwood mixer.

Bathroom with seperate corner power shower

Upstairs off the spacious landing area is a generous sized bathroom and two bedrooms.

The bathroom has a wash hand basin, wc, bath with shower attachment and a seperate corner power shower as well as a shaver point. 100% Egyptian hand and bath towels are provided and included within the tariff.

Attractive & comfortable Double Master bedroom

The Master bedroom has a 5ft attractively draped half tester bed.

The second bedroom has twin 3ft beds with pretty headboards and can be converted to a king sized bed by request before your arrival.

Pictures and finishing accents around the house reflect the surrounding forest, providing you with the right feel and atmosphere for a New Forest holiday.

Outside in the rear courtyard garden area...

The rear courtyard garden area has a circular table with benching that will comfortably seat 8, perfect for those al fresco barbecues on a quiet balmy summer's evening.

To sit quietly, listen to the forest waking up or simply relax with a good book try our quiet corner.

At Brackenwood we don't expect you to either have to bring everything with you or immediately get out to the shops for immediate supplies!

You will also find that we have additionally already put in a starter stock of the basic non-food household necessities, even down to an amount of charcoal for your first barbecue!

Spacious Entrance Hall

The front door leads off the side of the house in to a spacious entrance hall room, which overlooks the rear courtyard and offers Visitors a quiet area of the house to read, catch up on holiday correspondence or simply enjoy a coffee overlooking the rear courtyard garden area.

Overlooking the front garden the 28ft lounge / diner has comfortable sofas around a gas coal effect fire.

There is a colour television with DVD player and Freeview, CD player / radio and additionally a selection of books, games, CD's and local interest DVD's for your added pleasure during your stay.

The dining area is pleasant and spacious with a sideboard and a dining table that comfortably seats 6 people.

Of course a good selection of quality china, cutlery and glassware is provided.

Additionally a washing machine and a tumble dryer are available in the exterior utility room which has been completely re-furbished and now incorporates a popular dog showering facility.

Hypo-allergenic quilts and pillows are used on all the beds and at Brackenwood we only supply the finest 100% cotton bed linens.

Additionally items for a small child or an infant can be supplied for your stay - please ask for further detail.

We supply you with enough tea, coffee and sugar to get started with a pint of milk already waiting in the fridge or, if you prefer why not start your holiday off in the right style and enjoy the wine we also leave you - already chilling!

Brackenwood has Gas fired central heating, which is included in the rental price together with all other gas, electricity, hot water, bed linens and towels.

There is a telephone for incoming and emergency calls and for those that can't leave that lap top at home there is a Wi-Fi and incoming fax facility which incorporates a copier.

Comprehensive guidelines on all appliances are provided in the household manual and additionally Visitors appreciate the Welcome book that provides useful additional information to assist you in the enjoyment of your days out and about in the New Forest too.
